Huaguo Wen
Prof. Huaguo Wen is a professor at Chengdu University of Technology, China. He received his master’s degree from Chengdu University of Technology in 2005 and PhD from the same university in 2008.
Professor Wen is the academic and technical leader of Sichuan Province, Recipients of the Tianfu Ten Thousand People Plan in Sichuan Province, and the leader of the young scientific and technological innovation team of the material basis of natural gas accumulation in Sichuan Province. He is Deputy Secretary-General of Sichuan Petroleum Institute, Director of World Calcareous Natural Heritage Research and Protection Alliance, Member of International Association of Sedimentologists (IAS), Member of Society for Sedimentary Geology (SEPM), Project Evaluation Expert of National Natural Science Foundation of China and Technical Evaluation Expert of National Geological Survey Project, and serves as an expert in the think tank of the China Petroleum Institute, the deputy director of the Key Laboratory of Deep-time Geographic Environment Reconstruction and Application of the Ministry of Natural Resources, and the deputy director of the Key Laboratory of Carbonate Reservoirs of China National Petroleum Corporation(CNPC).
He is engaged in the teaching and research of sedimentary geology and resource environment effects and the social service work of oil and gas exploration. He presided over 8 national scientific research projects related to sedimentary geology and oil and gas exploration, such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the National Science and Technology Major Projects. He published more than 150 academic papers and 3 monographs, and awarded 1 second-class National Scientific and Technological Progress Award and 1 second-class National Teaching Achievements.
