Tieguan Wang
Prof. Tieguan Wang is Chinese. He is an academician from Chinese Academy of Sciences, now works as a professor in China University of Petroleum (Beijing). He graduated from the Petroleum Geology Department of Beijing Petroleum Institute in 1965. During the year from 1983 to 1986, Academician Wang worked as a research scholar and visiting associate research fellow at the Department of Geology of the University of Delaware and Oregon State University.
Academician Wang is currently employed as a part-time professor of Yangtze University and Northwest University of China, and also as a distinguished academician by the Yanchang Petroleum Group. He is the advisory committee member of the Geological Society of China. Academician Wang used to serve as the advisory committee member of the National Development Center of Energy Tight Oil Research and State Key Laboratory of Organic Geochemistry. He also served as the director of Academic Committees for several key laboratories in China, such like State Key Laboratory of Petroleum Resources and Prospecting, Key Laboratory of Petroleum Geochemistry of Petrochina, Key Laboratory of Shale Gas Exploration of the Ministry of Land and Resources of China, and so on. Meanwhile, Academician Wang is editorial board member of many popular academic journals, including Acta Geologica Sinica, Petroleum Science, Geological Review (English version), Geochemistry, Petroleum Experimental Geology, and Marine Oil Geology.
Academician Wang has been engaged in molecular organic geochemistry, petroleum geology, reservoir geochemistry and environmental science. He has published more than 260 academic papers and 15 monographs. He won the Geological Researcher Award of Li Siguang Geological Science Award, the Sun Yueqi Energy Award, and the Silver Award of the CNPC IronMan Science and Technology Achievement Award. In addition, Academician Wang was awarded the second-class National Natural Science Award and the third-class National Science and Technology Progress Award, as well as 14 ministerial science and technology progress awards.
