Longde Sun
Prof. Longde Sun is a Chinese academician from the Chinese Academy of Engineering. He received his Bachelor Degree of Petroleum Geology Exploration from Huadong Petroleum College in 1983, and Doctor Degree of Geology from the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2000.
Academician Sun is currently working at China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC). He has been dedicated to the research on oil-gas field development and engineering application, achieving significant scientific achievements in the fields of development of old oilfield from continental sandstones, progressive exploration-development strategy in complex fault-block oilfields, efficient development of deeply buried marine-sandstone oilfields and complex natural gas fields, and engineering of oil-gas field supporting system. He has organized and led the study of Tarim gas development and project construction for the National West-to-East Natural Gas Transportation Project, making great contributions to the development of theory and technology for condensate gas fields and abnormal HTHP (high temperature and high pressure) gas fields. He has been awarded the Science and Technology Award of ‘Heliang-Heli’ Foundation, Science-Technology Youth Award of Guanghua Engineering, 2 first-class and 2 second-class National Scientific and Technological Progress Award. He has published more than 40 academic papers in domestic and international journals.
