Journal of Palaeogeography (Chinese Version) (ISSN 1671-1505  CN:11-4678/P) is a bimonthly journal of earth science. The usual publication dates are the first day of February, April, June, August, October, and December. It is jiontly sponsored by China University of Petroleum (Beijing) and China Society of Mineralogy, Petrology and Geochemistry, and published by Science Press. The published articles focuse on the disciplines of lithofacies paleogeography, biological paleogeography, Tectonic Paleogeography, Sequence Stratigraphy, Paleogeography, Sedimentology, Quaternary Paleogeography, Human History Paleogeography and Sedimentary Environment, Sedimentary Facies, Palaeontology, Palaeostructure, Geomorphology, Paleoclimate and Paleohydrology, Paleokarst, Palaeosol, the Geography research methods and technology, the mineral resources exploration and development as well as ancient and modern geographical environment and human civilization.

Journal of Palaeogeography (Chinese Version) is a "T1 Level" geoscience journal elected by China Association for Science and Technology. It has been awarded "Excellent Sci-Tech Journals of Chinese Universities", "Top 100 Sci-Tech Journals of Chinese Universities", and "Excellent Academic Journals of China with International Influence" for many times in recent years.
